Hello. I have been having GPS issues on my 2014 1500. The GPS stopped working a couple of months ago. I looked at the GPS screen and the antenna screen showed zero signal strength on each of the channels. Sounds like an antenna or antenna wire issue to me. So, today, I took it out (This is not my daily driver, mostly used for towing my trailer) and low and behold, the GPS worked! I looked at the GPS antenna channel screen and there were signals on several channels, but they seemed to be low. Any thoughts? Thank you!!

Bad antenna or connection to the antenna. You'll have to pull part of the headliner down.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, thank you. Is it fairly easy to pull a corner of the headliner down?

You can get away with just pulling the driver side rear down to get to the antenna. Conversely, you can bypass the factory antenna altogether if you have no need for SXM or cellular service. A replacement GPS antenna can be plugged in for ~$10...

Okay, got a new antenna, MOPAR. Installed it and GPS is working great!! Thanks for the suggestions. My antenna is the non-sharkfin kind that, I think, is only for GPS.

The puck type is GPS and SXM.

I guess I assumed that it was only GPS because there is only one (coax) wire going to it. They must use the same wire for both...
