2014 ram 1500 want subs

ok so i just bought a 2014 ram 1500 express and i miss having subs so i wanna get another set but what will i have to do as far a head unit wise and i have the back up camera and really don't wanna loose that

I just used an AudioControl LC2i to connect my amp. Worked great with the factory Alpine stereo. I tapped the factory sub wires. You can go with a cheaper LOC if you choose as well.

What system do you have? Alpine or Base? Im pretty sure with the base system, there are wiring harness to keep all the factory stuff working so you could replace your HU.

Express would have the base. You can do a line out converter......if your sub amp doesnt have a bass adjustment remote knob, you can get a LOC with one.
That afformentioned Audio Control unit is very nice.
What cab truck do u have?

i have a single cab with the base radio and if you could maybe post some links or point me in the right direction that would be great. I'm not to great with wiring

since its a base truck you can get your signal directly behind the radio. if you are only adding a sub just get a basic LOC there is no need for a DSP or anything.

all you do is tap into the speaker signal for the LOC. i would use the door speakers as your signal. reading that you say you are not great with wiring you may want to have a shop wire it in then. cars now days are pretty much ran by computers any slip or tap into the wrong wire can cause lots of damage since the radio is ran off the canbus system

I have a back up camera with the screen on the rear view mirror. I actually prefer it there over the HU where I'm looking down. I added an after market radio and didn't lose that function. Replace the radio, you'll be much happier. Broke because of all the new additions you'll be adding but happier. I have a 2013 Express

baum has it a LOC is the easiest way to do it. I have a build log for adding a couple of tens if you want to check that out.
