2014 Ram HID Install - lots of pics!

Andy from Omaha came down to STL this past weekend to get a set of 50W HIDs in his headlights, and a set of 35W fogs. Took the opportunity to snap a few pics of where I stashed the parts!

HID details - heads for the '13+ Rams can be found here - 2013+ Dodge Ram HIDs and the Fogs can be found here - 2009+ Dodge Ram HIDs - for Fog lights

Pass side resistor mounting - wanted to put EVERYTHING in a spot where Andy could reach it, if he ever needed to.

Driver's side. Relay harness, resistor and ballast

Fog mounting. I really like these 13+s....remove the bolt on the lower mount of the fog, boom, ballast mount!

ran the 12v wires to the fuse box

Great detail. I can't imagine the beam disbursement with the HID's in the stock housing is even useful. But being the retrofit guy I'm sure you know this.

I'm a fan of HID's in fogs though because they make the best "SEE MY A$$ COMING DRL"

Looks good! I mounted all my ballast using zip ties and the resistors using 3m heat resistant (450°) double sided tape. For some reason making unnecessary holes in my vehicle gets under my skin lol

Of course I've ran on drop in HID, Mini projectors, FXRs, stock and everything in between.

Bottom line, are they the best for disbursement? No, its a halogen housing, yeah. But, they will be far better than stock. Not all customers have the budget or desire for the projectors, which we know will focus the light better, etc.

Looks Nice. Just finished my 2013 Sport HID upgrade about a month ago. I have read a couple of your posts now and they really helped. I took lots of pictures inside and out. I tried to run the cables in the neatest way I could and for the ballasts I used 3M tape and stuck them to the battery box on the drivers side and the inside of the pillar on the other side. I figured if I have a light problem I will most likely have to pull the light out any way.
