I have a 2014 ram sport and the headlights visibility at nighttime is awful in my opinion.

Just wondering what kind of upgrades are the best for this. HID? LED? Different bulbs? New set of lights?

Depends on your budget.

Do you have the projector head lights?

I installed a set of LED 5000k bulbs on mine, the are very bright, kind of blinding bright, do to my truck being leveled I’m thinking. I have the factory fogs that I also converted to LED, when both low beams and fog lights are on, they light up the road nicely. Lot of people like HIDd bulbs, ether way, they both are a big improvement over the marginal factory lights.

Yes the factory ones. I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg because I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be keeping the truck.

Are the LED bulbs Just plug and play or is there some sort of kit for them. I should maybe look into doing the fogs too if that’s the case. HID are a kid correct?

I don't know what bulb the factory projectors take, maybe look into a HIR (halogen infrared). Supposed to have a higher light output than halogens, and might not be as expensive as LED's.

Just plug and play. They come with the direct wire harness that plug right in your headlights.

Awesome I might have to look into these. Do you remember what you paid roughly?
I went with exon led, good quality led, great fit, never had a issue. Don’t buy a cheap ebay Chinese set, they are crap. If you go on exon depot website, you can choose LED or HIDs for your make and model, that fit correctly.
$100 includes the resistor to avoid possible flickering, or weird dash lights warning.

Only HID works in the projectors, dont even waste your time with LEDs
