2014 with bubbles in paint

I just purchased a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 express 2 days ago (25,000 miles). Yesterday I washed the truck and dried it, but did not see any bubbles. Today I look at the front left fender and there are 5 to 7 sizable bubbles there now!

The car fax was clean so I am wondering.....is this common for these trucks?

I'm in a bit of a panic here. I just got rid of my old vehicle because it was starting to become a money pit and I don't want this truck to be the same way.

I know it is just a few bubbles, but I literally bought this truck so I wouldn't have to deal with this issue for a long time.

Ram seems to have those issues.
It should still be under warranty take it in to the dealership and see what they tell you

Yup, take it a dealer and get it fixed while it's still under warranty. You shouldn't have any problems getting them to fix it for you. At least I wouldn't have any issues with my dealer.

I had the same problems, noticed after a wash also. It was covered up to 60k so they fixed it, sucks but all better now

This is hard to imagine w/o pictures.. I don't think I have ever seen "bubbles" in paint. Are you talking about "fisheyes"?

If so, it usually happens when painting on a surface not free of oils or other contaminants... Or in very humid conditions, or water gets in the air lines.

In most cases, these can be wet sanded and buffed out in your driveway.

I understand that it's under warranty and you should take advantage of that, but keep in mind that these trucks are painted by robots, not a human...**** happens.

So many have reported crap paint coming out of the Warren plant built trucks that it is beyond the "**** happens" labeling. It is common knowledge that the Warren plant paint section is way outdated and due for an upgrade, but FCA has decided it is better to keep building and painting than to shut down and fix the problem.

I am thankful that Jesus/Hector screwed my truck together and being the clean freak that I am my metallic paint job is literally perfect. Warranty is the op's friend I should think.

Had my rear bumper replaced (2013 1500) under warranty because of bubbling rust under the plastic step. They were just going to send it in and have it refinished but when they stripped the paint off they realized it was worse than they thought so they just replaced the entire bumper.

Contacted Dodge dealership in my area. They say they will fix 3 recalls on it.

Gave me the run around on the paint, said it, "had been repainted."

It has not been re-painted. You can look at this truck under the hood and see both sides match perfect. Also compared it to my uncles truck which is exactly the same truck. Both trucks are identical. Taking it to the dealer Friday to see how they feel about my winning lawsuit against Ford for this same ********.
