Hey guys I'm pretty new to the audio scene. I have a 2015 crew cab bighorn with the fold flat floor under the rear seats. I would like to have plenty of bass but I'm not to sure how to go about adding a sub or two. I currently have two 10" subs and an amp I had in my previous truck. I was wondering if someone could steer me in the right direction for a cheaper box(assuming I will have to remove the fold flat floor), and how to wire this amp up. I always brought my trucks to a audio shop and let them do the install but this time I'd really like to tackle this myself. Any help would be appreciated!

For big bass, the fold flat floor will need to go.

NetAudio is probably your best bet for a pre-built box.

Other than that wiring in an amplifier is rather straight forward, plenty of tutorials out there.

be aware that any of the pre-fab boxes may not be the correct air space for your subs.

to start find the specs of the subs you have and try and find a pre-fab box that may work.

sounds like you are pretty cheap so you taking the time to build one may be your best option.

Quality = $$.... the Foxbox is the next best option but I wouldn't recommend it overall. You may need to invest some time in your self to learn how to build a enclosure.

Ima have to talk to my brother. He use to be hard core into audio, building boxes and wiring everything up. Guess I'll see if he would like to do a project with me. And as for as the oilfield I wouldn't be recommending anyone to go out and splurg too much right now lol.

I fabbed my own fiberglass box this year with very little woodworking experience and no fiberglass experience. I left pretty detailed images of the process on my build thread (it's in here somewhere). To me, the fiberglassing was easy; I had a much harder time making the MDF frame. In the end, my box is custom fit to the exact air spec's my two 12"s need and it's a quality sealed box for the price. If I had the cash I would pony up for a NetAudio box, but if you have friends or experience and the tools, making your own isn't too hard. Also, my two 12's get much louder than I need; I could probably have got away with one. Live and learn :)

I might have to try that. I have decent wood working skills. Know a little bit about a lot and a lot about a little bit lol. Never worked forming fiberglass though might have to try that out
