Hey guys, new to the forum been lurking for a while as a guest. I've got a 2015 1500 Laramie 4x4 crew cab with 6'4 box sitting at the dealership and I need to get a lift and tires ordered up but wanted to confirm a couple things before I commit to ordering them. I'm planning to have a 4" BDS lift with the 3" rear spring option installed along with some 285x65x20 BFG TA KO2's onto the stock wheels. Now the questions I have: the tires apparently measure out to 34.6" tall x 11.5" wide are these going to rub at all? I hate tires rubbing drives me nuts and I don't wanna have it happening on my new truck. And the next question am I going to have any issues with fitting into my garage its a 7' door? From what I have read on here I shouldn't have any problems fitting in my garage and I should have no probs clearing the tires, but I want to confirm that before I commit to ordering the parts. Thanks in advance!:favorites13:

First off, congrats on the new truck. You will have no problems with rubbing with those tires on factory wheels. Now, just a couple things to think about. If you're not doing any serious offroading, the Zone 4" kit will save you a few bucks. Zone is the sister company of BDS. Not sure what your front to back measurements are now, but the 4" kit with 3" rear springs will still leave you a couple inches "tail high".
You might consider a set of Bilsteins. Set em at 0.7" for a little rake, or 1.4" for level. the Bilsteins also ride better than the factory shocks. Good call on the 3" rear springs . . . I'm not a fan of spacers. They are a little softer than the factory springs, so definitely get the gas shock upgrade when you order the lift . . . It's only like $10. FYI, mine fits in a standard 7' garage door with 3" to spare. Good luck, and be sure an post some pics. Oh, one last thing . . . Both Zone and BDS offer the Factory Protection Plus warranty for free. Be sure to sign up for that. It will cover your drivetrain for 60,000 miles in case the dealer decides to void your coverage on something because of the lift.

Thanks for the reply Bowers. Just the answers I was looking for, and thanks for the extra advice. I actually prefer a little rake as I haul my quad a fair bit in the summer back and forth to the lake and don't want the truck to be sitting nose high. I figure I can always add blisteins down the road if I wanna level it out. I'm pumped to get it home, drove GM vehicles my whole life and coming from an 08 duramax. I don't need the 3/4 ton diesel anymore for hauling and looking forward to the change to the Dodge and going back to a gasser. Anyway thanks again for the info and I'll be sure to put some pics up when I pick it up.:favorites13:
