Hello all ,
I purchased a 2015 ram Exspress 5.7 . I have installed an android auto radio . Works great. I have the small screen originally. I want to go to uconnect 8.4 . I have analog hvac . I want to upgrade that with the radio. I need a harness & module for the passenger side I read here . But what year radios will work in my truck? Don’t want to buy one and find out not compatable.
So please be kind new to this ram .
Thank you for the help in advance

You'll want a 2018 to 2021 Radio from a Ram Classic. The radio models to look for are UAQ (with NAV) or UAS (without NAV). You can get the conversion harness for the 8.4 Bezel from forum member/vendor @Mpgrimm2 at his website here:

Additionally, you can find all the details for this upgrade in this thread, but feel free to ask questions in your thread if you get lost in the info...

So I thought about it . For the time being I will leave it as I have it . Think frustration got the best of me .

Don’t know if I can continue on this thread . Another question : will a 2010 ram SLT CLUSTER WORK IN MY TRUCK . It has the 4 gauges and bigger screen. I did some reading that it needs some programming .
So thanks again

No only 2013 + clusters will work in your 2015. Best to find another 2015 cluster but not necessary. It will require mileage and engine hours programming with a tool like AlfaOBD.

Thank you for the great info
No problem, if you search car-part.com you can find salvage clusters at decent prices, if the plastic is scratched you can replace it with a new "lens and mask" which makes the cluster look like new (I think I paid ~$80 for a new lens and mask).

So radio question again . Tired of the android radio . On top I have posted a picture of the radio that was in my truck. With what A/C controls it has . I have found a 2017 ram 1500 SLT with original radio attached is a picture of the one for sale . Entire radio and bezel from dash. I don’t want him to yank the radio just to read the back . Did all the radios come with CarPlay . Or do I have to ask what the code is . If so I have what was written above about what radios I can get . So my question is I was told 2015-2019 is ok . Lease someone point me in the right direction . I know enough to be dangerous . Rather listen to people with experience then thro money away. This is the system I am looking at . If you need or want that android auto/car play then you will want to stay with the 2018 + but if you are ok without that you can get 2017 or under. down to 2013 but not recommended to go under 2015. I personally don't need android auto, and while it would be nice, I think some other benefits of the new radio are there I just want the bigger screen and the things that brings so I am going with the 2016. less things needed to make it work, and if I want in the future I can update just by getting the radio and one or 2 things needed.

Benefit of AA/CP integration is hands free phone use (expanded) and up to date navigation.
