Good Luck replaced my eng. at 131,000 wanted to keep my truck. Never had a problem like this since the GM 5.7 liter diesel eng. in the 80s.

Wondering how to get the ECU tuned if I get the stage 1.

I had similar issue's in a 2010 5.7 with 85K+. Turned out to be carbon gunk build up in the throttle body. Solved that problem in 30 minutes with a $8 can of carb cleaner. Consider the cheapest solutions first.
