I have a 2011 Ram 1500 4 wheel drive with 5.7. The truck starts running rough while driving down the road. You can pull over and restart and it runs ok for a while. It does have a new rebuilt engine in it. It was doing this with the old engine also before the cam problem. It logs po335, 300, 339 and the traction control light comes on. Where should I start? Crankshaft sensor? The engine builder put the 100,000 mile plugs in it its supposed to have the 30,000 mile plugs.

100,000 mile plugs are now the Recommended Spark Plugs for the HEMI Engines

Code P0300 stands for “Random or Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected.” This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicates that your car's computer has detected an engine misfire that's random and/or appearing on multiple cylinders.

I know what all the codes mean. I wanted to know if anyone had experienced all three at the same time with the traction control light and what they did that fixed it. The 13 and back hemi's do not use the 100,000 mile plugs. I have heard they do some weird stuff with the electrical.

This is the current recommendation for the 2013 RAM HEMI

NGK 92174 Standard; Pre-Set Gap: 0.044"
Dual Plug; OE-Recommended Gap: 0.044"; Actual FCA OE NICKEL plug (30,000 mi/48,000 km interval).
**NOTE: FCA OES now recommends IRIDIUM extended service plug.

Where do you get this recommendation? Every search I do says SPLZFR5C11 which is what my service manual says for early 2013? I would like to put longer lasting plugs in, but not if its going to play tricks on my electronics.

I always try to reference ROCKAUTO
They do a lot of research

The Spark Plug that you referenced is the Mopar number
The SP is for Spark Plug, so omit the SP & look up the rest of the number in your search

NGK 92174 LZFR5C-11 Nickel Spark Plug

FCA = Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
They are the Parent Company of Stellantis, who currently builds our Rams
FCA is now recommending the use of the 100,000 mile spark plugs made by NGK

It is of course your choice on whether you go with 30,000 mile plug or an alternative spark plug

I always use the champion plugs in my 04 5.7. Which is the oem for it. Usually get 60k. Forgot once & can say 90k & they’re gap is way to big. The wrong plugs can cause coil issues.

Check the crank and cam position sensor plug and wires. Had a buddy replace two sensors and was set to pull cam as recommended when he discovered the wire was cut.

Does anything else shut off when it stalls?
