In this model are 2 ports inside the console that are not the 12V charging port. They are:

AUX audio (⅛ plug, presumably stereo)
Does anyone know what this feeds to behind the dashboard, specifically behind the head (radio) unit?
I have the head unit removed and see no cable that is compatible. That port must connect to something within the dash and such connector should feed into the radio unit..

USB for media
The USB media port terminates with a gray connector that, inside, has an older female USB mine 2.0 connector. I made a diagnostic dongle for both this connector and the USB port inside the console. In the line are 4 leads:
BLK, WHT, YEL & GRN
Only the BLK to BLK lead showed continuity. Nothing RED to RED, YEL to YEL, or WHT to WHT (or any cross-combination) Has anyone ever seen faulty continuity on this USB media line?

The AUX wires are run directly into the main radio harness connector on the radio (the ********* rectangular one).

Thanks SitKneelBend. That kinda makes sense since I couldnlt find a "stray" lead that looked compatible with it.

Now, if I could just get some help with the USB media cable.

So the Remote USB line connects to the Media Hub in the console. In that console is also AUX, which is a 1/8" stereo jack for a music device. (I tested it with a tape player and it works fine.)

When the Remote USB line is connected to the Media Hub, a faint blue light appears on the front of the hub. This tells me that there is a connection all the way to the VP3 unit. When I launch the Media screen and touch eh USB icon, the screen displays "Connect Device". When I insert a flash drive that contains music (*.wav) files, the screen continues to display "Connect Device".

Maybe I'm confused as how this is supposed to behave. I thought once a flash drive was inserted, it would respond by displaying the contents so that a selection can be made.

Am I missing something here?

Any help is appreciated !!

Wav files may not be a useable format but it should tell you that I believe. The drive must be formatted FAT32. Try an MP3 file if you have that.

I got the USB side of the Media Hub working. What threw me off was how long it was taking to download track info. Also, the best button to push to access content is Browse. It seems to be working fine for both mp3 and wav formats.
