2018 1500. RA2 radio upgrade to RA3/4

Hello. First time post

I bough a 2018 1500 with the Ra2 Stock. I’m looking to upgrade to the Ra3/4 because of the Apple car play etc. I am wondering if they are plug and play in between the two. By pictures of the harness connectors on the radios they look very similar. But has anyone every swaped these radios and what did you need. I have purchased from a Cruthfield in the past but their harnesses are not uconnect compatiable.

I have not done it...yet. But there is a thread in the DIY section that outline how to do it step by step. It can be done, but there is more involved that just swapping out the head unit, especially if you want the apple car play.

For your 18, basically you will need a conversion harness (7 speed), 2018 UAQ or UAS radio, radio bezel, & 2018 HVAC module

Can I use the Bezel that M2 mods makes for the RA3/4 or do I have to buy one online since it’s the new UAS/UAQ radio. I plan on getting my stuff from M2 to support what you are all doing.

I know this is an old post but I’m hoping y’all could help me out. I’m looking to upgrade from the RA2 to RA3 but don’t know what models of RA3 I can use. I have a 2014 with factory Uconnect and satellite radio. Do I need to stat model year specific? Or can I use any year as long as it has uconnect and satellite? Thanks in advance
