2018 3500 Mystery Alert

2018 3500 6.7, bone stock 10K miles. While driving, I get a random single chime alarm. No set pattern. No lights or visual alerts come on. I check for codes right after it happens. No codes. It is totally random and can happen in town or on the highway. Time between events is just enough that I forget about it, then it happens again. Went on a 400 mile trip this weekend and it happened three times, twice in the first half hour then once the next day. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and might know that is causing it!

Do you have navigation built in? If so, could it be the speed limit alert?

I don't get a sound for favorite artist or song but I DO get one for Game score or start, if you've set favorite sports teams.

I had this same thing happen. I also got a CEL shortly after noticing the random chime. The dealer said I needed a software update for the CEL. It dealt with one of the faulty sensor readings/diagnostics.

It could have been the Sirius favorite song alert too. cant say for sure though because my subscription ended around the same time. Next time you hear it look at the radio, I think it has a message near the top of the screen when a "favorite" is playing.

Ahhhhhhhhh. "Favorite Is Playing" was the culprit. Thank you so much. This was driving me crazy not knowing! Finally saw the little indicator light on my screen!
