2018 express transmission noise when coasting

Just started to notice a rattle noise when coasting coming from transmission. Noise goes away if I put in neutral. Recently did a fluid and filter change and fluid levels are fine. 2018 ram express 5.7l. I see others have experienced this issue but I’m yet to see a cause or fix

when you say fluid levels are fine, did you have the transmission pan (not the truck, or truck frame) level when you added fluid? (assuming you followed the fill procedure, temps, run through gears etc.) how many quarts did you add back in?

2018, should be an 8spd

not necessarily, Ram was still selling 6 spd transmissions to the Canadian market.

If it’s the six speed, you might want to drop the pan and see if the filter came off and is sitting in the pan.
