Good morning. This is my first post and I am curious is anyone has had their engine “surge” around 100 000km or 60 000miles? I purchased an OBDLINK and it shows that the #1-O2 sensor is surging with the engine. Has anyone else noticed this? The dealership said that it was the charging system and said they cleaned the grounds. The certainty did not discount the battery as it is still dusty at the terminals. They problem was not resolved and is back in the shop again today. I bought the extended warranty but because they didn’t have to replace a part, they were trying to charge $191 to which I did not pay. But that is another story.

Sorry mine hasn't been having any kind of this trouble so I can't add to it from personal experience but I figured it's worth saying that the o2 sensor's behavior of tracking the surge could be either a cause or an effect.

If it's only one oxygen sensor reporting it then you can probably rule out anything to do with fuel pressure regulation or air metering because those would affect both cylinder banks.

Does this surge happen at idle or only under way? If you disable MDS (with the transmission +- buttons) does it affect it? I am assuming you've got the 5.7 with MDS as you didn't mention any different and your profile over there says 2018 5.7
