I have two RAM Trucks both 2WD V6 Gasoline. The REG Cab has almost 100K miles and the Ext Cab Truck has about 70K miles.
The REG Cab has had some fuel related issues in the past: New Fuel Tank, New fill spout with the correct slope, New Carbon Canister. The Ext Cab has had a new fill spout with the correct slope. All of this work was well over a year ago.
In recent months both trucks have had fill issues sometimes. I always fill with lowest fill rate setting. Recently the nozzle would click off repeatedly sometimes near start of fill. Moving to a different pump or gas station would sometimes fix the problem. Today was the worst: I set the fill rate at the lowest setting (REG Cab Truck) and there was a big overfill at the start before the nozzle shut off. It was as if the fill line was plugged. I moved to a different pump at the same gas station and the tank filled at the lowest setting without issues.
Am I getting BAD fill devices/pump stations or could there be other problem(s)?
Thanks in Advance.
