I traded in my 2018 Tradesman 2500 diesel on another truck and pulled everything out before I traded it in. I had done a full 8.4 conversion with a UAS Radio and 7-spd HVAC.

Single zone MTC HVAC bezel 1UJ96DX9AJ $135 *SOLD*

UAS Radio *SOLD*
68331635AA $650

2018 2500 HVAC control module *SOLD* 68366553AA $80

Denso 7-speed blower motor resistor *SOLD* $20

Radio conversion harness from M2mods
7-speed conversion harness from M2mods
Harness is a 4 to 7 speed conversion harness and fan motor/resistor harness for 13-18 2500/3500trucks (& 13ram 1500's)

$175 for both. *SOLD*

Paypal FF or you pay the fees.

UAS (non-nav) 8.4" radio, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. this was a new radio I bought from @Mpgrimm2 in April of this year. Manufacture date of Jan 2017. When I called Sirius XM, they said the trial on this radio is good until June 1, 2019. I also have the unlock code.

**EDIT TO ADD** Something I think is worth mentioning is the display for the backup camera is darker on this radio than it was on the RA4 8.4" that I had before. I kept the original rearview mirror display functional on my Tradesman because it had a brighter image, and I could look at both displays as needed depending on the lighting conditions. Again, I though it was worth mentioning so nobody would be caught by surprise.
**Also, if you have Tradesman with the display in the rearview mirror, you will need to purchase the backup camera harness from M2mods in order to have the backup camera display on the radio screen. I forgot to pull that particular harness when I traded in the truck**

Single zone MTC HVAC bezel. Bought new and in like-new condition except one of the orange clips is missing; sorry, I guess I lost it when I removed it, but it will still mount securely

Bonus on the radio... Its on SW application version 18.14 which doesn't have the audio EQ problems that v21.9 has (19.9 is ok, but can't be found in the wild to download).

Edit: looking at the picture, that's our latest v3 fan/resistor harness that doesn't require repinning any connectors for the 4 to 7 speed 8.4 HVAC conversion on 2500/3500's. Plug n play

M² Mods.

Thanks. I haven't looked at the version in my new truck, but the audio doesn't sound nearly as good as it did with this radio.

Do you still have this?
Is this everything need to go from the 5.0 with 7 speed fan?

I still have it. It looks like you have a 1500 truck. The radio and HVAC bezel will work, but if you already have a 7 spd fan, I'm not sure if there's a difference in the conversion harness. I don't think you'll need the 7 speed blower motor resistor. And I know the HVAC control module I have is only for 2500 trucks. Maybe @Mpgrimm2 can chime in on this. I'd be more than glad to sell you the radio, hvac bezel, and wiring harnesses if they would work in your truck but we'd better get confirmation first.

Thanks

I’m interested. How plug and play is it? I have a 2017 2500 tradesman with the factory small screen and backup camera displays on the screen. I have a 4 speed simple fan control.

If you have the 5.0" radio from the factory, and your backup camera displays on the radio, this will work without having to purchase the additional backup camera harness.

The components I have will convert your truck from 4 to 7 speed with the new HVAC controls.

You would have to get the media hub and harness for your center console, as it's different for the UAS/UAQ radios. See here
https://www.ramforum.com/threads/how-to-install-a-2018-4c-uaq-uas-radio-in-2013-2017-ram.116140/

But I'm not sure if the HVAC module will work, as it's for a 2018 2500

Ok. Yeah I’m not sure then. It’s a lot of $ to take a risk. Thanks though.

8.4 mods have never been cheap, especially with the 2018+ UAS that added more desirable features. You gotta pay to play.

That is the module to use with the 18 radio in all 2500/3500 trucks.

Basically... Use 2018 module with 2018 UAx radios and 13-17 module with 13-17 RAx radios.
A few people (2-3) have had some flakiness with the 18 module/UAx radios that hasn't been nailed down yet (UAx radios from other vehicle brands vs ram, fw version?), but the pair here have been working without issue per earlier posts in UAQ thread thread.

Just as a comparison, I paid $1150 for a new UAQ radio for the upgrade on my previous 2013 Ram when they couldn't be found used, plus the cost of the module, resistor, harness, bezel, etc. It adds up fast.

Thanks for the clarification on the HVAC module. I guess I thought the module was specific to the year of the truck instead of the radio.

@nighthawk87, looks like all you would need is the media hub and wiring for your center console.
