Found the culprit, broken tailgate green/yellow wire.

My 2019 Ram 3500 tailgate won't open and we have tried all the suggestions listed above. The Dodge dealership had it for 3-1/2 hours and couldn't figure it out. I took it in because the tailgate wouldn't shut. They got it shut and then couldn't get it open. It sounds like this is a big issue and needs addressing by Dodge. Any suggestions?

Found the culprit, broken tailgate green/yellow wire.

2019 ram 2500. I had the same problem but couldn't see where the wire was broken. Test for power at this connector and had power. Test for power at the handle and had no power. I made a jumper wire and could function the tail gate. Part number 68437126aa fixed the problem. Was an easy install. If you take the panel off the tail gate the wiring going to the handle should have a white tag with your part number on it.
