So while doing a couple remote starts I noticed some significant ratteling and knocking on start up. Truck has 1000 miles on it. Anyone experiencing this? Thanks.

Does it happen if you start it from the drivers seat or just if using the remote?

By "knocking", do you mean pre-ignition knocking or just things banging into other things?

It happens both ways, in the truckbor Via remote. It's hard to discribe, could be pre ignition but sounds more like dry lifters or something like that. I'm not overly concerned, just wondering if anyone else experienced this. Thanks!

The truck is still new, things are still "breaking in" so to speak. It usually takes 10K miles for an engine to loosen up and start getting better but fuel economy. The transmission still learning your driving pattern.
With the way these trucks are started, either Remote or Tip starting is the same. If your wondering what Tip starting is, turn the key all the way forward and let the key go, no need to hold the key to start.

Hi Rvcarney and james stevens,
