I recently had an odd issue where i stopped to get gas and shut the truck off.
I went to restart it and nothing happened. I hit the horn and it workied fine,
I took the key out and turned it 180 degrees and it started.
Has not done it since.

I doubt that rotating the key had anything to do with it. Removing and reinserting the key is probably what did it. I haven't seen complaints like this but I could have missed something over the years. Kind of hard to troubleshoot a problem until it happens again, but if it does try removing and reinserting the key without rotating it 180 degrees. You might also try using the other fob to see if it reoccurs with that.
