2019 with no nav still have the GPS?

Whe nI bought my 2019 I did not get the nav as I prefer to use Waze or Google as it is always current. Well today I get an email from Apex Protect thanking me for purchasing their service.

First off I did not sign up for their service.

Second, wouldn't the truck need the GPS to make use of their service?

I figured the non nav version did not have GPS, am I wrong?

I believe Apex is a GPS tracking not the navigation system in your radio. Kind of like OnStar

Aftermarket radios without Nav but have AA or CarPlay typically come with a GPS puck. I would assume Ram includes that as well as it’s considered an extension to AA or CarPlay.

I have never gotten an email from these people. I thought the vehicle tracking on these trucks was done via UConnect.
