I have a 2020 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 33K miles. I purchased this truck from my stepdad. I noticed right off the bat leaving his house after the purchase the throttle response was slow and almost sluggish. I can feel what feels like to me is an engine miss at first acceleration or cruising speeds. not what I think 400 hp should feel like. When I accelerate it clears up. Sometimes on a slow acceleration from a stop I can feel and hear what sounds like a misfire and sometimes I hear a spark knock/ping. I do not have any check engine lights on the dash. Suggestions? Plugs? Injectors? Coil Packs?

Take it out and absolutely romp on it for 10 minutes. I mean floor it everywhere. Everything is adaptive on these trucks, including the throttle and transmission. If you drive it like grandpa it's going to slow down the throttle response and shift a lot sooner/softer. Some good spirited driving will increase throttle response and firm up the shifting at higher RPM's.

Thank you! I put high octane gas in it and have been driving it like I stole it. This is my first Ram truck, I’m not sure if it’s normal characteristics.

I drive mine like it's a TRX and sometimes turn off the traction control and floor it. I do stuff like this so often, that despite only have 7600 miles on it, I have to change my rear tires. Already had 1 tire rotation done. I have 3.92 gears and I run 93 (which is not necessary, but I can hear the difference - hard to explain - or I could be losing my mind). Either way, there is a 0.5-1 second delay from the time I floor it, to the time the truck responds.
