Thanks for the update and detailed description.
You aren't going to believe this... I wasn't checking the wire on the pump. I pulled the connector off the low fluid sensor that's easy to get to under the hood.
The second link I listed above is often helpful for identifying connectors, when it functions properly.
When the search feature goes wonky, you can usually select the platform and scroll through the results, line by line.
If using a PC, use control F to word search the listing.
It will then provide a picture of the connector and wire colours.
I had to pull the fender flares off and the lower facia off to get to the bottom grille bolts to remove the grille.
I'm not familiar with the grill removal procedure on 5th gen but my 4th gen is a 10 or 15 minute job.
I used a long 3/8" drive extension bar on a ratchet to reach the lower mounting hardware.
After removal, if you can't reach the bolt head with finger tips, needle nose pliers might help.
Beware! The removed bolts may fall out of the socket and try to escape. Ask me how I know.
During reassembly, I held the lower hardware in position with needle nose pliers.
There are many YouTube videos available covering this task.
I would definitely like to add something to this. Ok so I bought this 2021 Ram 1500 4x4 Rocky Ridge package brand new. it had 16 miles on and I took it for a ride and told the guy it's mine.... So I started using Rainex washer fluid in this vehicle. I had a 2012 T&C and never had a problem with it.
You will find mixed reviews on the use of Rainex here at RamForum and elsewhere but, if you total up the positive & negative reviews, I'd say the negative results are far ahead.
I can blow right through those but the brand new Mopar ones for my truck I can't blow through them. They are way too restrictive which IMO causes the hoses to blow off, clogging and early pump failure....
Thanks for the valuable information, this will likely help others in the future.
Appreciate the help and also to others trying to diagnose the washer pump. The wire connector that you can get to easily under the hood is for the low coolant warning sensor.... I had to pull the grille....
It's always a pleasure to assist, especially when we get immediate updates with detailed explanations. Thanks for your contribution.
Also like to add I never had any issues at all so far with this truck other than the washers...
That's great news, hopefully you will experience many more years of trouble free service.
