Has anybody ran into the problem of 1 line working on the rear defrost and it being 10 times hotter than it should? Took it to the dealership today and was told it’s functioning as it should. When I got home I retested it and it is not. They said they tested each line and they have power but on the passenger window only 1 defrost lines heats up. It’s 4 weeks out of warranty now so I’m hoping for a goodwill warranty fix on this as the truck has never been driven in the winter.

As long as you visited the dealer PRIOR to the warranty expiration you should be covered. But check the lower outside corners and you will see wires attached to each corner like a button. Make sure they are attached but do not try to pry them off if they are. Somewhere on that window you have a broken strip ending that circuit. it is easily repairable with a rear defrost repair kit from an auto parts store.

Unfortunately it was 2 weeks out when I contacted them. That was the first early frost we had and I never thought to check before as I expected it to work. It is going to another dealer Friday so fingers crossed they will help me out.

As for the connectors they are all in tack and connected. Would it be on the that window where the broken strip is or one of the other 2? This model has the sliding middle window. Thanks
