would appreciate it if someone with knowledge of how to these rear defoggers work could chime in. my guessing isn't working.
one day it just quit. tab on driver side came off the glass. after trying a permatex repair kit that didn't hold it. I soldered the button back on with proper solder and my soldering iron. worked perfectly that winter, this past one. this winter marches in and no workie.
after checking. my fixed one is still holding on the drivers side .
pass side looked okay. tried to wiggle it, came off the glass. tried solder-it paste as seen on a wrangler YouTube vid this time. my iron wouldn't heat up enough or the paste was bad. didn't want to use a torch being so close to plastic pillar trim. went back to proper solder and got the button back on. BUT still not defogging. when turned on, used my meter grounded to door catch and have good voltage on the gridlines on all 3 sections of the back window. I'm freaking stumped. how can they have voltage but not actually defrost??

open to suggestions.. also.. what are the larger square connections for near the tabs? that power slider related?
