Hey, new here, trying to figure out if this is normal--- On May 10th, I ordered my new 2022 Ram 2500 4x4 6.7 CCLB. As of July 15th, it was built (I have the build sheet and window sticker to prove it. For the past 7 weeks, it has been "waiting to ship." My dealer (not very helpful) Couldn't give me any answer on what the deal was, last week my salesman called me and said, "We lost it for a while, but they found it, its sitting in a container in Mexico waiting to be picked up by train." Has anyone experienced this before? The dealer or Ram Chat hasn't been very helpful on what's happening or any conceivable ETA. Is this irregular or is it normal and I'm just being impatient? haha Thanks!!

Nothing is "normal" anymore since covid. I ordered my 3500 on 1/31/22. It was built 6/14/22 & has been waiting to ship ever since. Some people are getting their trucks in 3-4 months, while I have heard of others waiting a year! Nobody has been able to find out why it is like that. At first we thought it might be the higher trim models getting held up due to chip shortages but that theory got blown out of the water when a few guys with the Limited Trim got their trucks rather quickly.
From what I have gathered Chevy & Ford wait times are even longer on average. Guys ordering 1500's that are built here in the states, have been getting their trucks closer to the "normal" wait times.

Very possible. We had 17 2500s that sat in Mexico for 3 months before finally trickling in. Some are related to parts, some due to shipping limitations. There was a rail car shortage earlier this year.

It will be only 4 months in another 10 days
Before Covid & the crazy shipping slow down

It took at least 4 months in 2019, for Rams coming out of Saltillo Mexico

That freight car has to be full of vehicles going to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, before it will move any where

After a year of looking I finally went to Dave Smith in Idaho. They had 50 trucks with VIN numbers. The trucks existed so I picked one. It took about a month to reach Spokane by rail. I flew up there and got it. Very Happy.

DS is where I bought mine I picked it up March 11, it took just over 9 weeks to reach the dealership with 3 of the weeks in Spokane rail year on a rail car waiting to be unloaded.

My 2500 finished assembly on August 12, been sitting in Mexico for over 4 months waiting to ship. RAM executive staff should be fired......
