Has anyone sold/traded-in/bought a Warlock recently?
I wanted to see what it's actually worth today. Not what these people are listing it for on Marketplace (and getting no where near the asking price).

I'd like to know what you got for it (or paid for it). Thanks in advance!

If it helps:
Mine is a 2022 Warlock V6
48,000 KM
Black with black interior
Alpine stereo, Mopar tonneau cover, Mopar side steps, offroad skid plates, 20" wheels, center console with bucket seats, AC plug in the front, back up sensors, heated steering & seats, power folding mirrors, larger screen, push start, remote start, front tow hooks, fog lights, rear back sliding glass, Mopar sprayed bed liner.

The problem you are going to run into is there are still brand new Warlocks sitting on dealer lots. The styling is polarizing and the price is too high, so their take rate is very low. Any dealer that gets it on trade is going to have a hard time selling it, so they're going to low-ball you. Hold onto it for another year if you can. Let the leftover 24s get gone off lots and the value of good condition used models will increase.

Apparently it's only worth 31-34k + tax, went to 5 different dealers and 34k was the highest.

Looks like I'll just give it back, it's worth no where near the buyback.
Friendly suggestion, consider buying a used hemi ram? Ram has always been a bad investment as in trade value drops like a hot rock. So use this to your advantage, this time you buy after the drop in value. I have been test driving vehicles for the wife, it is crazy how many used trucks are on each lot. Most places it is near 50% of the used vehicles for sale are trucks.

The last dealer we visited it had an 8 day satisfaction no question buy back and a 3 mo 4k miles warranty on the house.

When you change your vehicle more than you change your underwear, don't expect to get much on a trade-in. J/S
For a truck to cost $80K CDN tax in, back in 2023 and only be worth 34K CDN 2 years later is pathetic.
Glad I leased it and didn't buy it!
Told youuuu

Yup, more than likely my first and last RAM.
Never seen a truck lose that much value in such little time.
A Tundra that's 2 years old, lost a max of 10k in 2 years (depending on the mileage and spec). This thing lost over $40K...

Hemi takes way too much gas, that's the reason I got the V6 in the first place.
It was a fun truck, but not worth keeping.

And for any first time truck owner reading this, the V6 model will cost just as much as a 2017 Lexus IS200T, assuming your truck is in 2WD mode.
Similar cost since the V6 uses regular gas as opposed to the Lexus that takes premium gas.

They really get ya there man. Soon as you sign that paper and drive off the lot you're hosed. It's a bs system

I got my Lexus new and the buy back was less than what the car was worth.
All my motorcycles too, they never dropped that much in value.

I didn't know this about RAM trucks, I'm so happy I didn't buy this thing!
Another year with it and for all I know butter might be worth more lol!!

I think we actually entered a time where it makes better sense to buy used. I never felt this way prior. Depends on which vehicle but for sure ram is one of them. Put it this way, you got off cheap you are free and clear, it could have been worse had you bought it. Crazy price increases stupid interest rates = no thanks. For a 40k loan they are getting 600 bucks per month for 8 years. So what vehicle made today is 8 years a reasonable expectation without serious expenses? I'm thinking a 2500 would be a better bet for longevity?

Good to consider "cost to own" for 5 years when purchasing these days. Most my vehicles were in that 30k to own for 5 years, current rams that figure is 66k. Folks need to think about the big purchases more the days of old imo. Of note the figure for this 1500 is similar for a 2500. It pays to know these things, most guys wanted a long life vehicle should have considered a 2500, present company included. Had I know I would attempt to squeeze 30 years out of my truck, I sure would have bit that bullet when I bought my ram.

The estimated 5-year cost to own a Ram 1500, including depreciation, fuel, insurance, maintenance, and financing, averages around $66,678 An f150 is 71k for 5 years, my guess you could get a ram 2500 instead for that?

The market is correcting. Vehicle prices have been way too high since COVID and sales are collapsing. Manufacturers are offering 20% to 30% off in order to get new inventory to move, and dealers are paying 20% to 30% less on trades. If you bought in the last few years you're just out of luck.
