Since I have no clue what you're referring to, I'm gonna watch this thread.I umderstand this feature in 4th gen but in the 23s and 24s how do you set the miles over speed limit? I see how to turn it ONLY on and off under vehicle, settings, and. something like alarms.

Nope, don't have that feature. Thanks...Do you have Ram Navigation with your truck? That is what the Op is talking about. Voice command will come on when you are certain speed over the posted limit.
I turned it off, so it just goes red on the display. I use google maps 95% of the time now.
Not sure about the 23/24, older one under Navigation->Settings you could turn on or off, or set over limit.
I have a ’24 2500 6.4. I like the speed warning chime, but I would like to tone it down in the volume option. I have reset it several times down to 7 from 15. However, every time I turn the truck off / on, it resets itself back to 15. I have tried to locate a permanent volume setting, but it is hiding somewhere unknown to me. Any idea as to where this setting might be located would be welcome.
Really, I think in pa the reckless speed is 20 over. Might be at the discretion of the cop though.I think the default speed warning is at maybe 5 or 10 mph over the posted speed limit.
I know you are asking about the volume of the chime.
When you find the volume adjustment, I'd like to know if you find an adjustment for changing the mph over the speed limit to initiate the warning.
I think notification volumes will always default to 15. You can change it under the volume setting in the settings app,but when you shut the truck off it will go back to 15. I think Ram did this as a safety feature so people couldn't say they didn't hear warnings. My 14 ram has this feature where my 16 and 24 classic do not. 14 has nav, the other 2 do not.
Mine is set at 20 over per my selection, when I purchased the truck it was set at 10 over by previous owner.
I have not figured out how to adjust volume.
I travel a lot in areas of the US where speed limits are higher and still have it come on occasionally. It is specifically linked to nav even though I do not use the nav in the truck and my maps are out of date.
It fails to come on if you are exceeding the speed limit of the vehicle limiter. For example if the posted speed limit is 85 or higher with the parameters set at 20 over it should come on at 105. Speed limit of truck in computer is 106, then it does not announce this. If you change the truck speed limit in the computer with HP tuners or Diablo to something higher like 165 or 199 the max value I've seen entered then it will work.
My experience
Speed Warning is a feature that's been in Rams a long time. You preset the mph above the posted speed limit where you want to receive a warning.
We travel lots through small towns where the limits go up and down frequently and they hand out tickets liberally. It supports the budget of many small towns and counties!
