I am new to the diesel world and i see that i got a cover for the front of the truck. My question is when do i put it on?
i live in southern ontario, canada. Is there a temp you go by or all the time in the winter months.
Let me know. Thanks to all in advance.

I put my front covers on when the temp is sustained below 30°F. For me this allows the radiator to maintain coolant proper coolant temps instead of the coolant temp falling in the cold weather. You will notice the heater in the cab is not getting as hot and if you look at the coolant temp you will see the temps cooling off. The radiator front helps eliminate this. Now, it can only do so much and once the temps really get cold like below 20°F the engine is going to cool down if it is idling or just putting around town. Once this happens I will idle the truck up to maintain engine temps and to keep the cab comfortable for the family.

If you're towing, be careful with a winter front. With the grill shutters, it would have to be pretty dang cold to need it.
