I bought a brand new 2024 Ram 3500 Laramie in March. I had to travel to get the vehicle because I could not find one local. Three weeks after buying it the controls on the steering wheel quit working. I took it to the local dealership, they said they fixed it, drove it home and two drives later it quit again. Back to the local dealership. Repeat this process 4 times. They have replaced the steering column, addressed the recall, replaced the clock spring, etc. Got it home, ran it for a few weeks, it quit again. I have tried reaching out to Ram directly, they are less than helpful and useless. I was told to ask for a repurchase, denied. Does not qualify for a lemon, denied. Anyone have any solutions, thoughts, directions. My truck has less than 6000 miles and I need to have the same issue fixed again. I am so frustrated and unsure what to do.

Have you talked with a Lemon-Law lawyer? Don't take the dealership word about any of this.
Make sure you have paper documentation of anytime the truck was in for service and the work description states what all was addressed during the visit. It's a good idea to document every phone call to the dealership included when, who you talked to, and what it was about.

You should escalate this with Ram corporate and document everything. Even if they denied a lemon law claim, multiple failed repairs on a new vehicle may still qualify under state laws. Contact a lemon law attorney or your state’s consumer protection office. They can help push for a permanent fix, replacement, or repurchase. Keep all repair records and communications as this strengthens your case.

I have 2024 2500 Laramie. Controls facing dash on my steering wheel stopped working. This was just after a wifi update. I disconnected both batteries for about 20 minutes and the problem corrected itself. A couple of days later we had to make a 1,000 mile trip (one-way) to attend a funeral. The controls "froze" twice in the trip but corrected after a few minites without any adjustments for me. I believe the problem is software - not hardware. Two weeks later and my fingers are crossed, hoping it won't happen again.

It is ridiculous to have this many people with the same problem, and RAM hasn't addressed it. "Disconnect both your batteries every night when you come home if you want a fully functional truck tomorrow". I've never sued anybody, but this is beginning to sound like a class action possibility. Of Course, Ram doesn't care - same people that charge you $8K for a Cummins engine and don't include a power cord for the block heater!! This is my 3rd and final RAM. I'm going to start looking at GMC 2500.

FYI its up to the ordering dealer if they want to include the power cord for the block heater, btw the block heater comes installed in every Cummins 6.7L engine in a Ram truck but not the power cord, some dealers want to sell the buyer the cord for 2-3 times what it cost to have one installed at the factory, so they order them without the cord for block heater or the winter front because they want to up sell to buyers for extra profit... BTW go ahead and buy a GMC or Ford they both have there own set of problems...
