I never considered the spare as a theft risk.

Whenever all the crud stops falling from the sky over here, I'm going to move the spare wheel tools from the cab into the tool box that's locked under the Roll'N'Lock cover.

SO , if not a key for the winch part, and maybe/maybe not a spare tire lock, wat the heck does it go to????????

Maybe OP will report back on what it is via his dealership, tho I really doubt the "sales person" will have any idea.

ADDED: I had that issue when wife got her 2010 Ford. Was a bag of parts in the glove box like Mopar to cover up bed connections when tailgate pulled. But there was also a specific fuse in the bag and no instructions. TURNS out, you had to put that specific fuse in a specific fuse box slot to enable the 12V power for charging on the 7 pin connection. No where was that info available, listed, wateva, and I pulled that trailer for years and had no idea till a friend clued me in, wat a dumb boird I was. You know, plug in the 7 pin, all lights work, just not pay attention to detail, duhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

How could anyone know what these unidentified parts are used for unless informed?

I thought the link that BWL posted looked pretty obvious to me that it's the same piece.

There's just no way it could be used as a wheel lock key when the spec torque is 130 foot-pounds.

Naw, the Limited gets a temporary spare tire unless you also get the Off Road Group. Our 2020 and 2021 Limiteds didn't come with a lock on the spare.
