And hopefully you took careful timely notes. I had 7+ pages of notes when my truck was being fixed. They did get it fixed but were real close to me filing a Lemon Law claim.

Well fellas.....after hearing that Ram is "working" on an update for this "multiple cylinder misfires" and the service techs have exhausted all possibilities and are unable to isolate the cause, a factory "engineer" will be visiting the dealer on Monday to work on the vehicle.

I decided to trade it in at the dealer on a 2026 Ford F150 Lariat yesterday. I took a "hit" on the value of the truck even though it was only 10 months old. I did a ton if investigating and the Ram truck has one of the lowest resale/trade in values of all trucks.

I want to thank each and every member/owner here for your help, patience, expertise and respectful comments along this experience. Forums like this are invaluable to the general public and had helped me along the way to help offer up solutions to the service tech at my dealership.

I really wanted to love that truck but knowing that even when they had already fixed all of the other problems and then these misfires, which I knew they would with the factory engineer, I had no confidence that a new problem would not pop up or maybe even one of the other past issues wouldn't rear its ugly head again....like the proximity sensor/key FOB problem.

I have a trip planned this September to Canada from SC towing the bass boat and had no confidence I would get there and back without a breakdown.

That's a wrap!

From my limited experience and many hours reading on Ram's problems, I do honestly believe that 99% of Ram's problems are assembly related. What Ram did to fix my truck was extraordinary, and they shot gunned it with parts, to ultimately find that the problem was assembly caused.

Good luck with your Ford, and hopefully it will be a better truck for you.

Thank for the well wishes.

Honestly, in my situation with the Ram, it was all electrical. The new electrical architecture of computer, sensors, RF Hubs, antennae's, etc etc. were the cause of every problem on my truck. Mechanically, it was great.

This last problem with the misfires is electrical as well. A factory engineer was scheduled to be there to look into that truck today. Ramcare mentioned waiting on a new update to the computer to take care of the misfires.

Actually, IMHO, it's the electrical engineers that put this architecture together that failed. Leave well enough alone with mechanics.

WELL, good luck on yer Ford. I hope you got the 5.0 Coyote and not the eco boast. The biggest Ford Problems with 5.0, actually across all the TRIMS is the FUNKY 10 Speed Trans. Keep an eye on that and again good luck. Your electrical issues is the reason I still have my 2019, lol. My older son has a 25 Biggyhorn, and I keep my fingers crossed (sic).

My trucks problem was 100% electrical, and it was 100% caused by the assembly.
