2025 SST SO software update today. . .

Today I noticed a message on the uConnect that there was a software update available. I clicked on the update button and and waited for it to complete (about 26 minutes). Another message on uConnect said the update was successful with a "What's New" button, which I pressed-- the resulting screen was blank.

Did anyone else get this update? Does anyone know what changes occurred?

Everything on the uConnect looked the same and the version numbers didn't change. . . powertrain update maybe?

I got it the other day. It did say you could not operate th truck while it was going on. I have the 8.4 screen

Nope nothing that I have noticed.

I had an update a couple days back, scheduled it for 2am. Next morning said did not update because it was no longer available.

I had it show up twice, but I couldn't do it at that time and didn't schedule it. Now there is no update available. Can you tell us the version of the updated software?

That's the thing, the version numbers on the uConnect didn't change after the update. I drove the truck about an hour yesterday and there was nothing noticably different about anything.

I just saw an article about a update to hybrid Jeeps that bricked the vehicles, see below. Maybe the pulled it to do some more testing.

UPDATE:

I've now noticed one change since the update. Now the uConnect is tracking trips and sending data to the Ram app-- it didn't do this at all before the update. The data consists of routes, average and highest speed, average mpg etc. FYI

I had the Ram App for a few months then I lost the ability to unlock/lock and remote start my truck. So I just deleted it and figured FCA wanted money to keep this ability. At the time I had it Jan- to Mar it tracked where I went speed etc.

Are you paying for the App? If not can you remote start and lock/unlock it?

I've got Ram connect Wi-Fi Plus until November 2025 (trial). I have RAM connect one until 2035 (10 years). Ram Connect One will only give me remote lock / unlock, but no other remote features unless I start paying for Ram connect Wi-Fi plus.

If you go into your Ram app and go to connected services, you'll see all of the features you should be getting whether included or subscription and the dates they expire. I would assume that you get Ram connect one for 10 years like I do.
