Might also look at plasti dip for the wheels. Its like painting but more of a rubberized paint and holde up really good. I did all my badges on my truck. I know guy here in Oregon who have done it to their wheels on f350 lifted on 37 goin up river, snow and mudding and still holding up.
I've also heard of guys ceramic coating the wheel. This would help with cleaning and keeping all the salt, brake dust, and grime off of it. Of course, all the other benefits: cost, ride, selection, etc...
I was able to order my 2014 Big Horn with 17s. My 2018 Big Horn didn't give me that option, I had to get 20s. I liked the 17s better. 35 lbs pressure vs 39 or 40 on the 20s gave me a better ride. Also the 17s gave me better mileage since they were 8" wide vs 10" on the 20s. I've been looking for chrome 17s (wheels, not chrome-clads) but can't find anything I like. I like the style of the old Crager mags but it seems that those are only available on cars, not trucks. I also like the looks of the old chrome reversed rims but they're not around anymore. (Maybe disk brakes need vented wheels?). With 8" wide 17s the rims wouldn't even need to be reversed (negative offset) to give somewhat of a deep-dish look. I hope someone makes something like this eventually.
A 20" wheel does ride a bit rougher however the shorter sidewalls will have less lean/roll and will provide better stability at highway speeds and while cornering. I'm guessing the difference between the 18 and 20 wouldn't be tremendous but there will be a difference.
OK so I have a chance to get a set of 20" black sport wheels with Goodyear SR-A P275 60 R20's, I now have P265 75 R17's with Goodyear Assurance CS Fuel Max. I like the look of the black Sport 20's and just need an opinion on what everyone might think the ride quality difference might be with the shorter sidewalls on the 20's? There is no snow or ice (once in 80 years for snow, this year of course, lol) where I live. 2wd regular cab short with a 3.6 8 speed, Thanks
