Is there a better tool for holding the rear upper shock nut in place or will a 21mm crowfoot suffice? None of my 21mm anythings fit back there. :(

Also are these tabbed/bracketed, or whatever they are, nuts fairly durable?

Anything made by Don Thuren is going to be of high quality. I have his whole suspension setup for my 2500 and can't even begin to describe how incredible it is.

You can use a 21mm crowsfoot. But those Thuren nuts/tool are worth buying, I have them and there's nothing really to say about their quality and durability; you'll never need to replace them even if you keep your truck the rest of your life. You can even give the spare one to a friend or sell it on ebay for five bucks or something.

X3 on the Thuren nut set. Wouldn't even think twice about it. Highly recommend and worth spending the money not to have the hassle.

I appreciate all the replies. And I just noticed the Thuren kit includes a wrench as well... It's a done deal then.

Crowfoot works, cutting an small HF adj wrench also works, but the Thuren shock nut set beats everything up in practicality. Those rear shock mounts should have come with something like it from the factory.

Yeah they definitely should have come tabbed from the factory. Even with a 3" body lift I still couldn't get any tools to fit. The Thuren kit is ordered and en route. :)
