2022 Ram 2500 Cummins - Trailer wiring issue.
Just bought new 22 Ram. First 500 miles have been great. Have 3 trailers we use regularly. A 20ft flatbed (2020 model) , a 16 ft Parker Performance Co-Hann livestock trailer (2003) and a 2017 Bison LQ Horse trailer. The LQ and flatbed lighting and brakes work fine. I am struggling with the Parker Performance stock trailer. I've changes the plug and a tail light and still cannot get wiring to work. Meter checks fine on truck side.
I have 5 wires from trailer for a 7 pin plug.
Parker trailers tell me this is configuration:
White - ground
Black - brakes
Green - left
Brown - running lights/marker
Yellow - Right.
I've tried the above combination with the new 7 pin Polak plug according to Ram configuration - no lights.
The lights seem to have a clean ground with an aluminum rivet to frame.

Note: My 2017 Silverado 2500 truck - all 3 trailers lights & brakes worked fine. Some reason the older Co-Hann stock trailer is not working.
Any ideas appreciated.

About 10 years ago I had the same problem with a gooseneck trailer. I was able to find a conversion plug 5 to 7 pin at a local trailer dealer. I don't have the trailer any longer and I let that adapter go with it because the guy that bought it had a similar Ram truck. Wish I could remember who made it but they use to be available. I had all kinds of issues but once I found that adapter plug all of the issues went away.

Odd situation because 2 weeks ago the 7 pin plug worked fine with my 2017 Chevy. I just drilled out the alum rivets on each tail light. Sanded the metal and connected tail light ground to bare metal - still nothing. I will look for a 5 to 7 pin conversation plug?

The trailer manufacture did not mention a wire for reverse light. Only the 5 colors:
White ground
Black brakes
Green left
Brown running lights
Yellow - right
nothing about reverse?

I have a WW Stock trailer and I use a 6 pin to 7 pin connector trailer, with the reverse lights not being connected due to non reverse lights on stock trailer.

I’m thinking I may re-wire entire trailer as might be cracked wire in the channel.
What type/size wire?
Thanks
