Does anyone know if running with this code will have any negative effects? It will eventually go away. But in the winter it always come back on.
Thanks!

You can follow your evic water temp for a while, I doubt your truck will over heat, but the opposite may happen. No Heater or Transmission Fluid staying cold. I'm ok with the tranny cold stuff, but you need that heater in winter. Not a super emergency if you want to put it off, but it isnt a hard job to fix.

The truck won't overheat but your correct about possibly no heat in the cab. The three way valve purpose is to direct coolant to the transmission if it's not needed for cab heat.
It's also used if the cooling system is overheating to use the heater core as a radiator. The HVAC system turns the AC off and goes to full heating with high fan.
