Good deal, those be a bit more than I want to spend.
No votes for the throttle body? I've only heard good things of those.
As far as exhaust in thinking exit in front of pass tire. On the fence of dual or single outlet

I'd start with better flowing exhaust. Tunes and intake mods wont help much with the junk stock exhaust. Just a .02

I'm still pondering that. Trying to find a decent muffler under $50 if it exists. Should I leave the first resonator or delete it. I live in suburbia and go to work at 0400 so I don't want to blow the neighborhood our.

No need for more air in if you can't push it out. Do a good muffler, and change the restrictive Y to a magnaflow SS Y. Then run a 3.5" aluminum pipe from the throttle body to the stock box. Add a Spectre 4" intake mount to the front of the stock box where the stock square elbow is. Put a 4" 45* elbow on that. Then put a piece of 4" aluminum pipe on that elbow pointed down toward the front bumper. At this point you'll have a TRUE cold air intake. While you're there extend the IAT wires, and move that sucker behind the passenger headlight so it stays ambient temp..

You can probably do all of that for under $200, and you'll notice a hell of an improvement.

ETA: And don't forget to get a K&N drop in filter.

What's an IAT wire lol. And where is it? Any suggestion where to get these aluminum parts?

And what about the MAF in the stock resonator box. What do I do with that?

Intake Air Temp. sensor. When you take the engine "hat" off to get to the throttle body you'll find the sensor. Extend those wires, and move the sensor.

Our trucks don't have MAF's. Just IAT which adjusts A/F at WOT.

As far as pipes -- https://www.siliconeintakes.com/

Honestly...for $300...I would go by alcohol and some *****...:waytogo:

I would like this, but I would buy lots of alcohol so you can just get the ***** free. ;)

You can get longtubes for 300 but you got to spend more on gaskets, bolts, muffler, an the in between lol.

Hands down performance for 300 especially on a stock truck will be a tuner.

Or if you can do your own labor get some 4.56s, that is if you already got a factory LSD

I would delete it and you wont find a quality **** for under 50. Also you can go better flow without getting stupid loud with it. I believe a magnaflow can be pretty tame.

Honestly for bang for the buck and a seat of the pants difference, I have to say tuner as well.

Find a used InTune on kijiji or whatever (make sure it's unlocked) and since you're otherwise unmodded, just run the canned tunes. Then maybe once you have some extra coin, contact Jay for a custom tune (in my sig) he's cheaper and better IMO. You may still run a little over $300 but I doubt you'll find a good muffler for $50, and a muffler is almost just a noise maker unless you address the Y pipe. Now you're into a cutting and welding as well.

Or keep setting money aside and do a few good ones in one shot for a real difference. Thats how I did mine.
