I won't say I have vast experience by any means... I just know what I've researched and the few I've had experience with. You are not required to keep the RaceMe in the truck either if you don't want it. I like it for the additional monitoring it provides.
Well, that accounts for a lot BC i think a lot of the answers i am looking for just seem to be elusive. LOL. So i have contacted RaceMe by email and so far nothing. Phone calls answered by AI and will never be returned i am sure.
Guess they just are running scared of epa boys? I just have trouble trying to determine which one to buy and what all comes with it. I get bits and pieces of info off the net but no comprehensive write up. I know there are two versions, one being a CT and one being a CS . Assuming the CT is for racing and CS is for stock stuff. I guess i just have to buy it and then figure out what to do with it afterwards. I just want to run stock.

They've always responded quickly to me. Russell is typically who you'll talk to. Sometimes it does take a while to get a response if they're busy.

I have been texting back and forth with them and yes they are helpful. I did find out that the base units they sell for $1199 is not sufficient for the 2020 i have. My year model requires a CUSTOM tune and that is $500 more. I was surprised to hear that BC it does not seem to be a well known fact. So looking at a lot of money to get this thing out of limp mode.

Yep... the 5th gens are different.
Boy, are they ever from what i have gathered. The Custom file had the ECM flash PLUS 7 other files that had to be installed. I have no idea what they are all about. I can tell that the CEL is no longer on, nor is it in limp mode. Matter of fact it has was too much power. I understand that the tune i got was stock so i can not imagine what would happen if it added HP to that beast.
The one thing i did notice and not happy with was the loss in MPG. I was getting 15 MPG and it has dropped to 12. Any ideas as to why? I was under the impression that mileage would improve, not go down. Maybe there is something on the tuner i can adjust?.

More power equals less mpg.
It all depends on your right foot.

For instance, my stock tune nets me ~19-20 mpg mixed driving empty. My tow tune (+60 HP) nets me 22mpg in the same conditions. There is a street tune and then a hot tune available as well, but I have no desire to run them. I would imagine that at some point there are diminishing gains, but more power does not equal less mpg. It's all foot dependent.

If you dropped in MPG and noticed an increase in power, then you're not on a stock tune. On my stock tune there is zero difference on how it runs vs. a bone stock truck aside from the mpg gain. On the tow tune, the only thing noticeable is that the turbo spools up much quicker than stock. Then again, I don't stick my foot in it either. That 68RFE wouldn't be happy if I did.

Call/e-mail them and tell them what you're noticing. I had an early issue with my truck loping at idle in temps below 70F, and they sent me a modified tune that corrected it.

Long trips are healing/ therapy for these trucks...
I run 400 miles to my property 6-8 times per year, since new run fuel additives.
Depending on the season , different options. I run a heavy mix amsoil injector cleaner twice a year too.
Dont get me wrong, I have had my share of issues with my 2015 6.7l
Fuel additive and frequent oil changes.
Personal opinion. Run amsoils top 15w-40. I believe it's call extreme duty.
I know I throw good oil away but rather to that than drive dirty.
The DPF pressure sensor sounds like a good starting point.
Good luck

Well, just my luck. I picked that custom tune that was touted as their "Best Seller" and it looks like it is not the stock tune. This was custom tune number 1 and i should have picked the number 3. Too late now. I will just deal with it. Live and learn. Anyway, at 83 i am not likely to be looking for excess power and speed. I am just glad that it even runs this good. before it was always in limp mode and ran like it was powered by a 3 cylinder gas engine.
