Hello all, finally ready to pull the trigger on a new motor for my 1991 D150. I won’t be doing anything myself, wish I had the time but I have a good mechanic who is up for it.
I’ve looked at the hemi swap but if I did that I’d want to do it right and I just think it’s too much money.
So I’m thinking a 360 or 360 magnum swap would be just fine, maybe with a few upgrades. Intake and headers and a cam.
So that’s my question, 360 or magnum, and are there any definitive plans or parts list for this swap? Can I keep my transmission and rear end? Last I checked years ago I had a hard time finding anything definitive. I don’t need a racer but would be nice to have some power. More of a daily driver/light work truck than anything else.
Also, junkyard rebuild or crate motor? It’s getting painted right now but here she is.
