318-360 swap

can i swap a 1998 360 into a 1995 318 truck, im worried about the trans will it work or not. can anyone help me with this...

a few differences, need wiring harness, and the 360 is externally balanced, 318 isnt, and just a new flex plate, I think is what it's called, and the tranny matches up. or maybe its flywheel...**** I can't remember the name

the wireing is no problem i got that fixed, complete cab swap, but i wont unless the trns will work.

iv looked into this before and I'm almost positive it works, there is a disk or a plate though that needs to be swapped out and I can't remember what it's called at the moment

it will work. as long as the flywheel is built onto the torqueconverterand it bolts onto the flex plate on the back of the motor and youll be fine. be sure you swap the ecu as well

Hey all,

Im lookin at doing this on a 2000 Ram with a 318 and swapping in a 2000 Ram 360 into that 318 truck.

Anyone know what needs to be done? These motors look damn near the same, and so does the wireing harness.

if its the same year all u gotta do is swap the engine and the 5.9 ecu as well
