So i bought Adjustable Bilsteins. When i went to the local truck custom shop they told me i need a leveling kit also to fit 35. Is this true?

If you run 2.1 on the bilsteins or higher, you should be fine height wise. You don't need bilsteins and a level kit...also not a good idea to stack a level spacer kit on top of the bilsteins. Typically it's the tire width that gets everyone. Are you running stock rims? If so, you may need wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels with a better offset.

I have Bils set @ 2.1 and 35s on stock 20s. I cant see a issue, unless u have aftermarket wheels with weird offset.

I plan on getting aftermarket wheels because I have stock 17. What your thoughts Bils at 2.1 vs just a Leveling kit? I also have an aftermarket front bumper( Defender 8 By Iron Bull Bumpers). IDK if that plays a factor at all.

If the bumper is really heavy i would imagine you could set your Bils @ 2.8 because you arent gonna get full lift anyway.

Yeah that bumper may cause a little sag if it's super heavy. I would highly recommend the bilsteins at 2.1 over another level kit. The bilsteins are a better product and won't cause as much stress to front components. If you're worried about the front sagging, go to 2.8 on the bilsteins like chipmaker said.

U should set them at 2.8. I had to to fit my 35" toyo mt. I put a 1.25 body lift on first and the tires still rubbed the inner fender wells. But then i put on pro comps pro runners set at 2.8 and the rubbing was gone. I also have fuel mavericks 20x10 -12 off set

I have looked at one of those aftermarket bumpers my friend got for his 2500 and it weights a lot more than stock so I would assume you would have to go up to 2.8". Those bumpers are great but they do weigh a lot.
