first off i would like to say Hi! this is my first post with you guys(and gals).

i have a 2004 2500HD 4x4 with the hemi, im looking to put some new tires soon, but was wondering the best size to run. im going with the kore performance suspension(wich is a 3" lift). i would like to go witha 35" tire but i dont want to sacrifice to much performance. can i do this without changing the gearing, or should i go with 33's? the truck has 3.73 gearing.i have no clue when it comes to gearing. thanks for the input.

only performance mod is an airaid intake.

Welcome to RF

you can run 35's with little sacrifice of power with stock gearing. For instance the 1500's with the 20's have 33" tires stock and many people have gone up to 35's without regearing.

Welcome to RF. I can't comment on anything other than changing tire sizes. My '97 has 3.92's in it and there was a noticeable change in performance when I stepped up to 35's on mine.
For yours, adding a tuner and free flowing exhaust should have you back on par with stock performance if not a little better

youll be fine with the 3.73 and 35's. i have 3.55s and 37's and can still get it sideways when making turns.

Welcome to RF. I have 3.92 and run 35s with no ill effects. Theres a little bit of power loss, but nothing to get all worried about.

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the input. Makes me more comfortable about going up in size. The current tire size is the factory 265/70-17.

On a 2500 it stands 3" taller that a stock 1500 .. so in reality you can run 35's stock easy

On my old 2500 3rd gen I ran 35's and 37's

35's I ran with a 3" lift and it was perfect .

I ran 37's with a 6" lift .

IMO being a 2500 owner a few times in my life ... 3" lift and 35x12.50 tires = PERFECT
with your gears . Gives you plenty flex and does not cram the fender

Grab a SC programer and get the little you will loose back .

You wont really notice it that much in performance , but like said get a SC on there and it will be like stock if not better .
