2015 2500 with a 2.5 inch leveling kit can I fit 35x12.50 tires on the stock 18x8 wide rims? Will it rub bad?

I know this is an older post, but hoping it will get some traction.

I have a ‘13 2500, stock suspension (not even leveled) with OEM RAM 18x8 / 6 stem double spoke wheels with a 54mm or 57mm offset...and 35/12.50s (Gladiator tires)...I get bad rubbing not even at full lock. These were on the truck when I bought it...and realize that although the previous owner put RAM wheels on it, it came with 17s. I have 2 questions:
1. Could I get a 305/70R18 tire and it not rub without a level/loft kit?
2. If I have to level/lift to fit 35s...is 2.5” of level enough?

2.5" is plenty of life. I've done 3 2500 trucks using that same size leveling kit.

The stock wheel offset is why you are rubbing with the 12.50" wide tire. Some spacers will take care of that problem.

I have just a 1.5" spacer and still no rubbing with 35x12.5's on the stock 20" rims.

Any recommended leveling kit(s)? Looking online at random suppliers, there is quite a range of leveling kits and different piece parts with each.

I used a Traxda since it's only 1.5" and I didn't mind a small amount of rake. The complaints I usually see are rust, so find one with a good powder coating. Otherwise pick your height and make sure it comes with spacers for the shocks unless you're buying longer shocks.
