hey guys... i am trying a couple of colors on my radio bezel... just curious, how many of you would like to have a painted radio bezel? i have it still in my truck so i didnt want to post it in the for sale section just yet, and i wanted a little bit of an idea of my market.

keep in mind it is a 02-05 radio bezel

thanks!

well i decided to play around with the spare dash piece and a gauge pod. i am going to try and fiberglass and epoxy the gauge pod to the radio to make it one solid unit. the reason being is because after seeing my friends hit the gauge pod it moves side to side and i do not want the gauge pod to scratch the paint. so this will e a fun project for the summer

So I have been poking away at the bezel and am in not hurry to finish since I don't have the gauges I want yet. This bezel will house autometer cobalt series gauges to replace the glowshift I have now.

So far I have epoxied the gauge pod to the bezel.
I sanded the bezel somewhat smooth
I ground out the back end of the bezel to fit that gauges with the alignment of the pod I liked
And now I am working with bondo to smooth out the bezel and to get a nice rounded taper off the pod to the bezel to make it look clean.

Here are some pics for you guys

I will be painting it black with color shift metallic flakes!
