Do you have a lsd or open diff?

right now i have the factory open diff. i know the gears are still gonna make a vast improvement over the stock 3.55s i have now. just not lookin forward to messin with the front diff. i know its gonna be a pain. ive rebuilt rear axles before. had to do it to my ex-wife's p.o.s mustang. so with the trusty assistance of my hayne's book. should be good.

There is a thread on here with all the factory manuals, you should download yours.

If you do gears I would also recommend the LSD of some sort or you really notice it once gears are in on tire fire at every light with ease. I can still burn up 2 pretty easy but it is at least manageable where as with 1 tire it was insane.

If I were you I'd wait and do it all at once. With out a LSD the one wheel peel will be insane. And you'll have to pay for labor twice. Better to save a little longer and get it done once.

x2. also saves $$ for doing it at once and not having to tear into it again later cause labor for adding lsd is typically zero since its already out for the gears install.

gonna do the install myself. grew up workin on trucks, cars and my motorcycles. i know how to do a rear swap done a few before. the front is what is gonna be new territory. might take me longer to do it since it'll be my first time, at least i will have no issue when i get a lsd

I called another shop and they quoted me at $100/hour labor. He said about 6 to 7 hours to install gears master instal kit and lsd. Thats me buying the parts. I told him i was gonna buy my own parts but he recommended me buying from randy's ring and pinion vs the motive brand. I think im gonna do the rear first and the front later but when i do im doing the lsd and 4.56 gears all at once. What is your guys opinion on the 2 different brands motive vs US Gear Ring & Pinion or High performance Yukon
