After doing a lot of research and deciding what type of lift to go with, I have decided to go with a BDS suspension lift kit. Where I am stuck is deciding between a 4" or 6" lift. Reason being is I've heard lifting a truck there's only so far you can lift it before you start getting your steering at weird angles that it shouldnt be and causing strain and issues.
With that being said, my question is if I go with a 6" lift would there be any issues with my steering or would I be ok and not need to extended the steering?

Great choice. I would go with the 6" lift because some people regret not going with it if they did the 4". You do not need to extend the steering at all. The only thing that gets extended is the front driveshaft and they supply everything needed to do that with. In the instructions it wants you to trim the steering linkages but I did not and have never had a problem.

Awesome! Yea I would really like to go with the 6" was just uncertain about possible issues with steering. I did see that it comes with the drive shaft extension in the kit as well. Guess that pretty well makes up my mind then. A 6" would look a lot better any way in my opinion also. Thank you for your input.

6" lift you will be fine. I went 4" on my old ram and wish i went 6". New truck went 6" and i have no regrets.

Check your pinion angles with a 6" lift to to make sure you won't have any vibration or premature bearing/seal failure.

I agree that a 6" lift looks good, better than a 4" because that lift almost just looks like a level.
