Okay, I purchased my Ram 2500 with the regular radio upgraded to the 430N RHB nav radio. That radio died and the dealership replaced the radio with another 430N. The problem I now face is that the new radio interface looks different. My old radio had mostly black backgrounds and this one is mostly blue with a huge Ram logo that stares at me when I turn off the Sat radio info. The old radio showed the Sirius station art, but this new one does not. I called Dodge (not helpful) who just referred me back to the dealer. I know this may seem like a small issue to whine about, but I really liked seeing the Sirius station art rather than the Ram logo. Also the nav graphics don't seem as up to date as the other radio. When I first turned on the radio I got a message stating the nav info was over a year old and needs to be updated. Will updating (via $149 through Navtech) help with the graphics. Any ideas??
Thanks
I am just a little frustrated.

Sounds like the firmware needs upgrading, I just upgraded the firmware on mine and I know the the backgrounds changed to black on the garmin setting screen. There is tsb for 2012 rhb radios for this firmware upgrade so the dealer should be able take care of it. The tsb # is 08-057-12 and will bring the firmware up to 33.01.23 . Check your revision by going menu, system setup to system infomation, if your version is below 33.01.23 then this update would apply to you. This updates the radio software and nav software (not a map update but did change some graphics.)

Same Issue

Hi, I had the same issue. My new radio was replaced by the dealer after high pitch squeals were present while playing Sirius Radio. I had the same Graphics users interface you are describing. Enhanced NAV and station graphics. They apparently replaced my radio with a refurb instead of new. I knew it was a refurb because there were station presets stored as well as music on the hard drive. I informed the service guys that it was the wrong radio/refurb and they ordered a new one. The second replacement has the same issue, it is the old firmware and software. I called Dodge and they were very helpful, stating there is a 430N update for 2012. They called the dealership and to work out the details. Dodge has said that each dealership should have an update CD, as it is shipped to each dealer.

So just an update that there is no update. The dealership replaced the radio with another refurbished radio that was worse than the first replacement. It still had the previous owners address stored in the navigation under home, the favorites artists and songs are not mine (Huey Lewis, anyone?), and again the older graphics and missing Sirius channel art. I also noticed the Gracenote is out of date as artwork and CD info is also missing that was not on my previous unit. I am frustrated because I have been back to the dealership several times with a possible "fix", but nothing yet.

Are you sure you have the 430N? If you have Navteq then you have the 730N that could be why your radio interfaces look different.
