Thanks for all the nice comments.

What remains to be done is:
Finish the front - fit the bumper and flares on the bumper, prepare for paint...
Install the 5.13 gears front and back with lockers
Fit auxiliary lights
Fit the VHF radio

I will keep you posted on developments.

Here is my old truck, Tiny, a CUCV baught from the US navy when they left Iceland. It is a 6.2 diesel on 49" Iroks. (sorry for posting a picture of a Chevy here)

Ehem - I am a professor of economics at the University of Iceland - but a carguy since birth

wow. that's very cool! you are a talented guy. that picture of your last build is pretty wild. 49s? insane! I managed with some spacers and coil and shock upgrades to stuff 17s into my stock 2015 space on my 2003 Tacoma, and those looked huge. I had one person call them baloon tires. Another clown tires. It did look like a lot of rubber on that small truck.

Thanks.

Here is a Tacoma on the same tires as I use on the Ram.

About all these big tired trucks here in Iceland. We use them for winter driving off road on snow, which is legal here. You need very big tires to float on snow.

Well... seems to work OK

that's haulin! If its stock, I think thats 265 horses in a small truck so yeah, they have pretty good get up and go. how much does a 44 inch tire weight by the way?

Well - it used to be better in the 80s and 90s. Climate change I guess.

WOW!!! That is an impressive truck!

yeah i had a chance to go on one years and years ago. Its pretty fun. But not as fun as driving your trucks I bet! Your suspension mods to compensate for the big tires must be interesting!

Well - really quite simple. Just a 4" lift kit from Superlift. We like to keep the center of gravity low so we emphasize as little lift as possible - and just cut the fenders all the more.
