Hey I have 2010 ram 1500 ST. It does not come with keyless entry does xpress kit make a module that will add both keyless entry and remote start?

Just installed this kit over the weekend. I guess I got lucky - the harness came apart with no problem. I had this unboxed, installed and working in less than 10 minutes. Probably the easiest mod I've ever done. I'll be adding the hood switch, parking lamps and other options later...

Doug is the name of the guy who sells these remote start modules on Ebay.

Just so you know, the quick plug-in installation referred to on this post is for 2012 and earlier models. The 2013 is different. The details are on the page I linked you to.

Looks like it'll be $149 when its a plug and play for us 2013 truck owners. the redesigned 6 pin plug "should" be available by december.

I saw where a couple of you had mentioned diminished or short range of the DBALL. What sort of range are guys getting?

Just installed the remote start on my 2009 Ram. Spent $62 all together from ebay.

When I first installed the remote start a red light blinked instead of the truck starting. With some searching I found that I had to change the RF settings on the Dball (the programmer guy was supposed to do this).

1. Turn key on and off
2. Then Hold the reset button on Dball for 3 sec --light will turn orange. My light was blinking Green and then 1 red (No RF Output)
4. Hit the unlock or lock button to change the setting...now the light is green-red-red (RFTD output) (used for XL201 or XL202 models).
5. Hold the rest button to program. Remote start should work now.

So just to clarify, once this is installed in between the key lock, and the wire harness, using your existing non-remote start-able original OEM key fob, you are able to remote start the truck just by pressing the Lock button 3 times in quick concession?

yes but you and the rest of 2013 guys gotta wait for the new harness to come out if you want direct plug and play.

"Previously, for the 2006-2012 Dodge RAM vehicles, the DBALL could be flashed ahead of time with the 401.chrysler v5.06 firmware and then the DBALL just needed to be plugging into the vehicle. This procedure no longer works on the 2013 Dodge RAM vehicles because Chrysler made significant changes to the electronics on the 2013 vehicles. Therefore to accomplish DBALL remote starting with your factory remotes, the DBALL now needs to be flashed / programmed at the vehicle, rather than ahead of time."

"Please Note: In addition to the significant changes Chrysler made in the electronics for the 2013 model year, they also changed the Dodge ignition node wiring plug from the previous 12-pin plug that fit thee CHTHD1 T-Harness, to a new 6-pin ignition node plug. A new 6-pin T-Harness is being developed by Directed for the 2013 Dodge RAM vehicles but it is not available at this time. No date has been released for the T-Harness availability, but it is expected to be available about November or December, 2013.

However as before, the DBALL can be 'Hard Wired' into the Dodge RAM for 3X Lock Start with your factory remotes rather than using a T-Harness. The new 6-pin T-Harness, when available, just makes the installation easier with less wiring needed for the install."

John nailed it. It can be done now on 13-14 models but you have to slice into the harness. Were all waiting on the T harness to come out so its a plug and play design! it seems like its taking forever!!!
